About Us

When we took shovel and hammer in hand to build a home in the Colorado foothills, we wanted unique lighting and accessories to complete our cabin-style house.  The items we created for our mountain hideaway formed the basis for our gift and home accessory line.

At The Metal Forest, we take pride in quality and workmanship and design products for strength and function as well as aesthetics. We cut our products with a waterjet from metal, glass and stone, often resulting in fine detail and unique effects. Mike is the machinist and manufacturer, while Nina spends lots of time designing artistic and original graphics.

We specialize in unusual rust and patina hand-painted finishes.  While we focus on Cabin and Western styles, we have thrown in some Country and Southwestern items just for fun.
